Serve the city
At Northwest Community Church we want to make a positive impact on our city. We partner with organizations that are doing amazing work in Washington, D.C., and are always looking for new organizations to serve with.
For nearly 40 years, Martha’s Table has worked to support strong children, strong families, and strong communities by increasing access to quality education programs, healthy food, and family supports.
Northwest has partnered with Martha’s Table for over a decade. Our team participates by serving with McKenna’s Wagon. Team members ride to multiple locations in the city to distribute hot healthy meals.

Through Young Life’s time-tested methods and life-on-life mentoring, teen moms are empowered to make positive choices, set and achieve goals, and live a future rooted in Christ.
Northwest began a partnership with YoungLives in early 2019. Beginning in October 2019, the church has been used for twice monthly DC YoungLives club meetings. Volunteers are needed provide dinner and childcare for moms and their children for club. Volunteer Mentors are also needed for this ministry.
