Worship Services: Sundays at 11AM
… true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. The Father is looking for anyone who will worship him that way. -John 4:23 NLT
OVERVIEW OF A WORSHIP SERVICE • When worship begins, we will typically sing a celebration song as we invite you into God’s presence. You will be welcomed but you will not be asked to stand or introduce yourself. We will take a moment to turn and greet those sitting around us. We will typically join together in a reading before entering into further musical praise. We will share a time of community prayer before the Pastor brings forth the sermon. After the sermon, you are invited to listen for God’s voice as we share a moment of reflection together through a song or silence. We will take up an offering, but if you are a visitor we request that you only put an information card in the offering plate. We will close with a celebration song. You are invited to meet new friends in the lobby or downstairs in the dining hall.
ATMOSPHERE OF CELEBRATION • In God’s Word, worship is seen as a party. The early church had such a good time that they often drew crowds. Worshipping God is a joy, and you are invited to join the party!
CASUAL AND RELAXED • We want you to feel comfortable in our church and in our worship. The Pastor and Staff will generally dress “business casual.” Our nursery is available if you need childcare or if you simply need a changing station.
LIVELY AND DIVERSE MUSIC • We are blessed to have an incredibly talented group of vocalists and musicians leading us in worship each week. Rebecca Farlow leads our Praise Team, while Matthew Bachman is our Musical Director and Choir Leader. Each week, you will hear a selection of Urban Gospel, Contemporary, and Traditional styles of music. To learn more about our Worship Team, click here.
SACRED AND CONTEMPORARY • God’s Church is rich in heritage and tradition, yet the good news of Jesus Christ is also relevant in today’s culture. That’s why you’ll see a blend of both the old and the new in worship.
