Topical Studies
Bible Discovery Class (Spring & Summer 2011)
Join Pastor Dan each Sunday morning at 9:30AM for an inductive Bible study. Studying inductively means that we attempt to set aside our own preconceptions and simply allow God’s Word to speak for itself. We’ll study and discuss a new passage each week. The goal is not only that you would be inspired and challenged but that you would also learn the skills of studying God’s Word.
Discovering Spiritual Maturity (Spring 2011: March 20-April 10)
Join Pastor Bunny on Sunday mornings from 12:30-1:30 for this four-week course, which will focus on the basic habits every Christian needs to develop in order to grow to spiritual maturity. This class will equip you with the skills you need to begin these habits and explain the tools you need to continue these habits.
Family Advent Workshop (Winter 2010)
Advent is the traditional way of referring to Christ’s coming as a Child. To help you celebrate the true meaning of the Christmas season, all ages will be gathering each Sunday morning at 9:30 to sing Carols, enjoy holiday treats, light the advent candle, and to talk about “Christmas Gifts that Won’t Break.”
Core Christian Beliefs (Fall 2010)
During this 6-session class, we will dig deeper into the essential doctrines upon which our faith is built. This seminar is intended for those ready to dig a little deeper. Participants will receive a brochure entitled, “Essential Doctrine Made Easy” (which fits nicely in most Bibles). Topics include the origins of the Bible, the Trinity, sin, sanctification, good and evil, humanity and more. Sessions will be taught by Pastor Dan. Teachers and church leaders are encouraged to attend to help build a stronger foundation for their ministries.
Racial Reconciliation (Spring 2010 & Summer 2011)
This workshop is designed to open up dialogue among our members about issues of race in our nation and communities. Issues of race are typically “off-limits,” but silence breeds disease. Pastor Dan and Pastor Bunny will be leading the workshop based on a model used in other multi-ethnic churches and will also share insights from their relationship in learning about each other’s culture. This is a great opportunity to build closeness with those who don’t look like you!
