Youth (6th to 12th Grade)

Northwest Youth (6th-12 Grade)
In January 2018, we launched a new effort to better meet the needs of our youth.  Students participate in a time of worship in the sanctuary and then move to the lower level for their own lesson and discussion. This class will be focused on helping them find their identity in Christ, developing spiritual disciplines and beginning to live out their faith as they face the challenges of Middle School and High School. Social activities will be planned throughout the school year.

Youth Leaders

Carmon Brown
While she has spent her career educating youth in large cities like Boston and Washington D.C., it has been through her experiences working with the youth at her home church in Baton Rouge, Louisiana in summers that has inspired Carmon to work with youth in a church setting. Carmon wants to share her faith journey and love of Christ with the youth at Northwest Community Church.

Andy Turner
Andy credits his faith in God to a dynamic youth program in NC that helped him discover that the God of the universe wanted to be in relationship with him. He wants to see teens come to that same mind-blowing realization. Andy actively serves the church in the worship arts ministry as well and hopes to inspire our youth to find ways to serve in the church and community.
