Short Worship Opening
When you arrive, look for our Children Check-In Center in the lobby. Children are invited to stay in worship for the first part of our service which will include contemporary, upbeat worship songs. During our informal greeting time, parents/guardians are invited to take their children to the lower level to our children’s program. Teens can walk to their class during this time as well.
Parents/Guardians sign in their children in the lobby upon arrival. Children will be signed out at the end of service from the individual classrooms. If children require assistance during worship, parents will be alerted by a volunteer. All volunteers working with youth and children must have been attending NWCC for six months, gone through an application process and pass a background check.
Northwest Nest (Infants)
Our infant nursery is a quiet, nurturing space where infants are given lots of attention and care. Even in these beginning stages of life and faith, we want our smallest guests and members to learn that church is a safe place filled with love and care.
Northwest Nest (Toddlers)
Our toddler nursery is designed to provide a safe, comforting and happy place for our youngest members to learn God loves them and can be trusted. We sing songs, read stories and play with a volunteer/child ratio that provides opportunity for attention to each child.
Northwest Kids (Age 3-Fifth Grade)
The goal of Northwest Kids is for children to learn the stories of the Bible through images and experiential learning and to see the Christian life being modeled through the Teachers and Assistants. As students grow and mature our curriculum and teachers aim to help students apply God’s Word to their lives. In the upper grades our classes become more discussion based, encouraging our students to develop their personal faith and understanding of God and the Bible.
We are currently offering four classes during our 10:00 Worship service; PreK &K (Age 3-5), Grade 1 &2, Grade 3-5, and Middle School.
Northwest Youth (6th-12 Grade)
In the Fall of 2015, we will be launching a new class for our Middle School students. The class will meet during the 10:00AM service on the lower level. This class will be focused on helping our students continue to develop their faith as they face the challenges of Middle School. Social activities will be planned throughout the school year.
Our high-schooler students will meet for the lesson with the middle school students. After the lesson, the high school students will break out in a small group with a separate leader to discuss what the lesson means for their lives. The goal at this age is to help them find their identity in Christ, to develop spiritual disciplines and to begin living out their faith. Social activities will be planned throughout the school year.
Jesus said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” –Matthew 19:14
