Christmas is about children. Not just in the sense of gifts and parties, but as a reminder of why God took on flesh in the first place. The mystery of the incarnation is that God entered this world in the most vulnerable of ways – as an infant child. In many ways, his advent was symbolic of those he came to serve – the least of these. The incarnation reflects the way we, as followers of Christ, are to live our lives. We are called to leave the safety and security of our world to enter into the brokenness of the world around us.
